The ABLF has always understood that leadership is not only convened but recorded. In an era where platforms evolve and fade, the power of print endures. For nearly two decades, the ABLF has produced publications that do more than document. They frame context, preserve institutional memory, and shape the evolving dialogue on leadership in Asia.
Publishing has been central to the ABLF’s mission, spanning seven elegantly produced coffee table books and eleven editions of the ABLF Magazine. Each has served as a reflection of its time, capturing the pulse of a changing region while spotlighting the individuals and ideas shaping its future.
The journey began in 2010 with the first ABLF coffee table book, a 150-page publication that chronicled the Forum’s early years and Asia’s emerging leadership paradigm. Intelligent and measured in tone, it laid the foundation for the Forum’s voice in print: globally aware, regionally focused, and deeply purposeful.
That same year, the ABLF released a landmark volume titled India–UAE: In Celebration of a Legendary Friendship, a bilingual narrative on the cultural and economic ties between the two nations. Launched at the DIFC in Dubai, the publication became a diplomatic gesture in print, offering substance to the region’s story of cooperation.
Subsequent coffee table books followed, each one aligned to the larger economic and social shifts defining the region. The 2012 volume reflected on recovery and recalibration after the global financial crisis. The editions that followed captured Asia’s movement into smart governance, innovation ecosystems, and regional cohesion. These works found their place on the desks of policymakers, business leaders, and institutional heads, serving as strategic tools rather than commemorative keepsakes.
In 2019, The ABLF Times: Icons of Tolerance was introduced. Released at the ABLF Awards in Dubai, the publication celebrated individuals whose leadership advanced inclusion and cultural diplomacy. It reflected a broader truth that leadership is defined not only by strategy but also by values.
To match the pace of a digital world, the ABLF expanded its editorial imprint with The Review, a living repository of essays, white papers, and curated thought leadership. Continuously updated, it offers insight into governance models, economic transformation, and the new leadership lexicon emerging from Asia and the Middle East.
Looking ahead, the ABLF’s publishing efforts continue to evolve with intent. The ABLF Masterclass White Papers will accompany the digital leadership series, offering structured takeaways and sectoral frameworks. The ABLF Podcast Series will be supported by transcripts and editorial summaries, extending the reach of its dialogues beyond the live moment into archival form.
These publications are not simply reports or retrospectives. They are designed as enduring records of how a region rose, responded, and reimagined its future. At the ABLF, publishing is both an intellectual practice and a strategic imperative. It is where vision meets voice and leadership is documented with care, clarity, and conviction.
Rising from the brilliant content generated across 20 months of the ABLF Talks, Oct 2020 - March 2022 ‘ABLF Talks Chronicled: Asia’s Great Reset’ is a groundbreaking business-led publication title, with the ideas and voices of over 100 of Asia’s most responsible and powerful leaders who appeared at the ABLF Talks 2020-2022.
The title will be launched in 2022 and will offer an informative, insightful and detailed exploration of the solutions to the socio-economic challenges wrought by the impact of COVID-19 in various Asian countries.
The ABLF Times is the precursor publication series to the ABLF Review. The former is the popular biannual business publication from the ABLF with feature interviews, articles, op-eds and economic reviews from key leaders across the region. Showcasing Asia as a key business hub, the ABLF Times debuted in 2019 as an exquisitely curated coffee-table magazine that captures the energy and economic zeitgeist of the Great Asian Century, while connecting all participants closely with the UAE.
Issue 1 of the ABLF Times was developed by invitation of Gulf News, and was launched in March 2019 in Dubai, UAE by H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan and the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Issue 2, focusing on the biggest challenges and opportunities that Asia faces, was launched in November 2019 at the 12th anniversary edition of the ABLF Awards Gala.
